My driving force is curiosity. I am interested in (almost) everything. Over time, this has resulted in a rich wealth of experience across many disciplines. That is probably why I am not a (subject matter) specialist, but an analyst who prefers to face entrepreneurial challenges as a whole and include all relevant areas for an optimal solution, rather than delivering ostensibly perfect highly-detailed solutions.
However, the complexity of current challenges increasingly requires cross-functional competencies that go beyond the knowledge and experience of a single person. That is why I have invited personally compatible, experienced experts from various fields to create a platform for corporate and brand consulting with IQONIC. Together, with our combined years of experience, we can offer Austrian companies consulting at management level that meets their needs.
After university, only one thing was clear to me: get out of "narrow" Austria. In the aftermath of the 68 movement, Paris was a breath of fresh air and, along with years of working as a tour guide, perfect preparation for managing the unexpected.
Nothing was planned, but nothing was coincidental.
Not managing the Austrian branch of the Swiss vacation rental provider Interhome. Not the transition to direct sales, combined with the invaluable experience of discovering a secret weapon in the then unknown field of direct marketing. This turned me from the black sheep of the industry facing huge drops in revenue into quadrupling sales after two years. And it made me the target of desire for large marketing agencies. Nor the 5 successful years at an international agency as a springboard to founding my own relationship marketing agency in 1991, which has since developed into the third-largest advertising agency in Austria.
It was no coincidence that I founded IQONIC in 2020.
