Efficiency is doing things right. Effectiveness is doing the right things. — Peter Drucker, Harvard Business Review, “Managing for Business Effectiveness” (1963)

Focus & Expertise

Strategies rarely fail due to the concept – they fail because organizations are not truly convinced they are doing the right thing. Paradigm shifts only succeed when they are culturally anchored, not just decided upon. That is why I translate ambitious goals into resilient structures, governance, and processes – according to the principle: Recognize – Move – Change.

My Approach

The critical moments in change rarely arise from a lack of strategy, but from unclear roles, competing interfaces, and the friction between the old and the new. This is where I come in: I analyze organizational dynamics, create clarity regarding decision-making paths, and align stakeholders with one another – even in hybrid settings. This ensures that interdisciplinary teams remain capable of acting and making decisions even under pressure – especially when crises demand swift decisions amidst uncertainty.

Transformation

For me, transformation does not begin with technology, but with the user. Whether it is business unit development, product development, sales strategy, or process optimization – the first question is always what tangible added value a change actually creates for people, teams, and organizations. In international, matrix-organized structures, I connect people, processes, and technology to achieve this – using the Business Model Canvas, Design Thinking, and the development of agile organizational structures as core tools.

Utilizing Opportunities, Shaping Processes, Identifying Potentials

The greatest potentials for improvement rarely lie in the new, but in the routine that no one questions anymore. I establish systematic, sustainable improvement processes that make existing strengths visible and unlock untapped resources. Together with those involved, I develop solutions that reduce costs and sustainably increase profitability.

The Bridge to Water Sports

Privately, my passion lies in windsurfing and sailing – reading the wind, waves, and current before they become visible. This attentiveness to changes that are just starting to emerge, and the calmness to maintain course in stormy seas, is what I bring to my work: providing guidance when visibility is poor.

The right equipment secures the journey, good navigation maintains the course. But you have to dare to make the voyage yourself.
